So I have yet to have a date on Valentine's Day. In my 20 years (ok, so only 4 of those have really been date-able...), I've never been dating slash interested in someone during the romantic days in February. It's overrated really, though. You and your man go out on a super romantic date on what is really just another day of the year. Flowers, candles, mushy love songs, chocolates...all cliche things when it comes to February.
Me, I'd rather sit around the dinner table with some of my best friends (girls and guys mind you), and have full-length conversations through conversation hearts.
"Hey you"
"Got love?"
"Yes!"
Those are where the best memories are made. Hanging with the people you love most. Isn't that what Valentine's Day is all about? Sharing it with the people you love? So I wasn't able to spend it with my family, but I was still able to spend it with some of my favorite people here in Provo.
Ok, so maybe the truth is that I'm just jealous of every girl out there who has someone to buy her flowers, and give her chocolate-covered strawberries. Someday that will be me though, just you wait.
